Programmes for NCS & Newly Arrived Students

Hong Kong is a culturally diverse city. For non-Chinese-speaking (NCS) students, learning about Chinese culture and the local community fosters social integration, mutual respect and a sense of belonging.

Heritage Connect provides bilingual cultural activities, inclusion programmes, and Cantonese bridging and adaptation support for NCS and newly arrived students. Designed by experienced educators, our programmes combine cultural learning with practical language use. Our programmes focus on:

Cultural Understanding

  • Explore Hong Kong customs and Chinese culture from different perspectives.

Practical Language Skills

  • Develop listening and speaking skills for daily communication and school learning.

Inclusive Learning

  • Build cultural awareness, mutual respect and confidence in communicating in Chinese. We help students adapt to school and community life while valuing cultural diversity.
